I have entered my registration number but your system can't find it. Why is this?

Our system will not recognise a registration if it is:

  1.  a brand new vehicle that has only just been registered with the DVLA; or
  2.  a personalised registration plate that has only just been registered with the DVLA.

If you are having trouble getting our system to recognise your registration number, please call our customer service team on 0330 0600 602 and they will be able to give you advice on what to do next.
